On The Roll’s homemade Currywurst Sauce
Our homemade Currywurst Sauce is based on a rich tomato sauce blended togehther with onion, therefore the sauce has a very smooth texture. We use balsamic vinegar, a generous amount of curry powder and a sweet golden syrup. Because of these flavour combinations the sauce has a mildly spicy taste to it with a sweet twist. Our homemade sauce is vegan and gluten free. Ideal to create your own Currywurst at home. For the base of your Currywurst we recommend using one Bratwurst and one smoky Krakauer. Grill the sausages until they are crispy and brown, then cut them in to pieces and serve on a plate, complemented with 3-4 tbsp of the heated up Curry sauce, sprinkled with some additional curry powder and with a crusty roll or some chips on the side. Also delicious as a vegan dish.
